Marine Fish:

Saltwater fish are much more difficult to care for in the aquarium than freshwater varieties. Many species will be completely incompatible, and the careful selection of the species is the most important thing to consider. The main reason for having a saltwater aquarium is the incredibly brightly colored fish, and the variety of different species. There are no freshwater fish that can compare with the strong bright colors of saltwater fish.

In addition, there are many other organisms which are available for saltwater aquariums: corals and anemones, starfish, crabs, snails and more. Many of these are remarkable in their own way, but watching their interactions with fish, such as a clownfish and its favorite anemone is even more rewarding. With a saltwater aquarium you can build an ecosystem in miniature, or simply just enjoy the fish for their exceptional colors.
